The XV Villa de Argamasilla Trophy in Calatrava became a true festival of precision and skill this weekend, bringing together 90 archers from various categories in a competition that kept fans in suspense until the last shot. The town’s Sports Hall was the scene of this scoring day for the Interclub League, where the host club demonstrated its power by harvesting an impressive haul of 10 medals.
Local archers left their mark in all categories, from the youngest to the veterans. Sara Rivas won silver in Benjamín Recurvo Mujer, while Jara Nieto won gold in Infantil Recurvo Mujer. In the Senior category, Agustina Talavera and Marina Guijarro were crowned champions in Longbow and Recurve respectively, with Yolanda García and Marta Álvarez completing the podium in their modalities.
The experience also bore fruit in the Veteran category, where Francisco Ramos, José Antonio Fernández, José Antonio Izquierdo and Pablo Romero added medals for the Viarca club, demonstrating that the passion for archery knows no age.
The event, which took place in an atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship, had the support of the Argamasilla de Calatrava City Council, whose support was essential for the success of the competition. The organizing club highlighted the dedication of all the participants and the family spirit that reigned throughout the day, turning the XV Villa Trophy into a true archery celebration.
