There were 100 athletes and coaches from Ciudad Juárez, Hidalgo del Parral and Chihuahua, who benefited last weekend from the Judo and Sports Psychology Clinic, which took place at the Sports Center of the South Sports Unit.
The clinic was designed for judo athletes and coaches seeking to take their performance to the next level, focused on mental strength and mastery of technique, and psychological tools applied to judo sports and training were integrated.
This training was led by Eduardo Márquez, coach and psychologist specializing in sports psychology, trainer of national and international high-performance athletes, accompanied by the athletes and instructors were the Olympian Edna Carrillo, Pan-American champion, along with Gilberto Cardoso, gold medalist. at the 2021 Pan American Youth Games.
During the training, visualization and self-affirmation techniques were discussed, strategies to manage stress and pressure in competitions, as well as resilience in the face of defeat and how to come back stronger, learning to master emotions.
In the area of technique improvement, work was done to identify and strengthen the combat style, in addition to introducing advanced training in judo transitions and tactics.
