After a winning path that took them to the final, the senior athletes won team silver at the Italian Championships in Ostia with a performance of the highest level. The girls of the team Sophia Bacchini, Aurora Serinelli and Sophia Stangherlin were very happy as they brought the insignia of the Riccione Karate Center back to the team podium on Saturday.
But the great results did not end at the Italian championships: the women’s team with the very young cadets Marconi Maria, Anna Orsucci and Martina Padoan (recent bronze with the Fijlkam national team at the Jesolo world championships) took possession of a well-deserved gold by beating the very aggressive opposing teams with spectacular performances right from the first match; they win in the final with an amazing kata in terms of rhythm, technique and power followed by a deadly bunkai.
A result that rewards the professionalism and competence of the technicians (Roberto Corbelli, Vito Mininni, the twins Marco and Mauro Giorgio, Giampaolo Massi and Manuela Donati) with a special mention to Giada Salvatori director, trainer and coach following the two awarded teams; Giada gets on the podium to collect the cup as the first-placed company in the team kata. An award also to the passion of the management Manuela Gasperoni first and foremost, who works to keep the Riccione Karate Center at the highest levels.
President Moreno Villa points out with satisfaction: “in addition to all the company’s collaborators and the value of the athletes, I would like to remember and thank the many sacrifices of the families: this is a winning mix that is confirmed year after year.
