Indonesia and Australia finally both qualified for the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup finals. The difference is, Australia was named group winner thanks to their superior goal difference.

Similar to Indonesia, the Vietnam U-17 team also locked in tickets to the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup through the best runner up slot. Vietnam also played ‘safe’ when facing Yemen in the second round.

Yemen took the lead through Amantur Isakov in the 16th minute before being equalized by Le Huy Vietn Anh in the 30th minute. However, both teams played waiting games and were less interested in launching attacks in the second half.

As a result, the two teams drew 1-1 until the match was over. Yemen qualified as group winners, while Vietnam went through the best runner up route.

Another team that managed to qualify for the U-17 Asian Cup finals next year is Thailand. The young War Elephant team appeared dominant by winning three consecutive wins in Group D.

Thailand has the right to qualify for the U-17 Asian Cup finals with group winner status. The runner up team in Group D, India, failed to qualify because they were unable to compete in the final standings for best runner up.
