The previous Baltic Cup tournament for women’s national teams was held in Estonia in 2022, with the Latvian national team taking fourth place. Also in 2021, the Latvians ranked fourth, but before that they triumphed three times in the Baltic Cup.
It has already been reported that in this year’s qualifying tournament for the European Championship, the Latvian national team ranked second behind Slovenia in its C League subgroup, ahead of North Macedonia and Moldova, and does not continue the fight for a ticket to the final tournament.
