For Feyenoord, the Classic doesn’t seem to have come at a better time. The Rotterdammers are in top form and are achieving one convincing victory after another. In addition, trainer Brian Priske delivered good news on Tuesday about the availability of Quinten Timber, Ayase Ueda and Bart Nieuwkoop. The match in De Kuip starts on Wednesday at 6:00 PM and can be seen on ESPN 1.

“We have a lot of players available, so we are certainly ready,” Priske said enthusiastically at the press conference on Tuesday. Quinten Timber in particular was a much-discussed player in the run-up to the Classic. The captain dropped out just before the end on Sunday against FC Utrecht after twisting his ankle.

“We had 24, 25 players on the field today. It’s looking more and more positive. Of course Santiago Gimenez, Quilindschy Hartman and Calvin Stengs are busy with their recovery. Jordan Lotomba is also doing better, although he won’t play the match But Ueda and Timber have had positive training sessions. And Nieuwkoop has also trained fully.

Feyenoord’s midfielders have perhaps stood out the most lately in Priske’s team, who therefore has no reason to make changes there. Timber is fit enough and will compete with Hwang In-beom and Antoni Milambo around the center circle.

Julián Carranza proved to be an excellent stand-in for Ueda against FC Utrecht, but with the return of the Japanese, the Argentine moves to the bench. Nothing changes on the flanks. Ibrahim Osman starts on the right flank, while Igor Paixão can show his qualities from the left.
