Induction gala to the Hall of Fame of the Panthéon des sports du Québec

The 33rd induction gala into the Hall of Fame of the Panthéon des sports du Québec took place under the honorary presidency of Marie-Huguette Cormier, first vice-president of human resources at Mouvement Desjardins. The eight members of the 2024 cohort once again illustrate the richness and diversity of our sporting heritage.

Jacques Baril, president of the Board of Directors of the Sports Pantheon, is surrounded by inductees Dominique Maltais (Snowboarding), Manon Rhéaume (Hockey), Martine Dugrenier (Olympic wrestling), Hiroshi Nakamura (Judo Builder), Patrice Bernier (Soccer), Tania Vicent (Short track speed skating), Normand Marcotte, son of Gaston Marcotte (Builder), and Jacques Dussault (Football Builder).

The Quebec Sports Pantheon paid tribute to Operation Red Nose. The honorary president of the Induction Gala, Marie-Huguette Cormier, is in the company of the new inductee Manon Rhéaume and Jean-Marie De Koninck, of Opération Nez rouge.

Jean Gosselin, vice-president of the Pantheon and president of the selection committee, Jacques Daoust, Richard De Carufel, Yvan Dubois, Builder inducted in 2019, and François Godbout, Tennis inductee in 1994.

Martine Dugrenier, one of Canada’s most decorated wrestlers, having won medals six years in a row at the World Championships and having competed in the Olympic Games, here with her six-month-old son.
