What seemed to be a tremendous World Series could culminate in the minimum of four games if the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees again this Tuesday in the Bronx.
Indeed, the Blues struck a blow of authority during Game 3, once again limiting the Bombers’ lackluster offense. Consequently, those led by Dave Roberts need only one victory in the remainder of the battle to get the eighth MLB ring in their history and seventh since they joined Hollywood (they belonged to Brooklyn when they got the first in 1950).
Despite being against the wall and needing a comeback never seen before in the fall classic, New York manager Aaron Boone will send Dominican Luis Gil to the mound instead of the organization’s ace Gerrit Cole, who would pitch if there was a fifth challenge.
For his part, it is unknown who will take the ball in the Californian squad, although manager Roberts must choose an “opener”; that is, a reliever starting the game and working for one or a maximum of two innings.
