Jan Breydel had another beautiful afternoon yesterday. After an excellent match, rival Anderlecht was checkmated, although the national champion staggered for a while in the final phase. Club can still count on Simon Mignolet in goal, although he now shared some frustrations.
Career to die for
Mignolet has been at Club Brugge for several years now, and his career itself has been phenomenal. Our compatriot was active abroad for a long time and had a great time at Sunderland and Liverpool.
The goalkeeper is loved on and off the field and received wonderful recognition in the summer. In his hometown of Sint-Truiden, the former Red Devil was declared an honorary citizen of the city.
Didn’t eat any cheese
Mignolet occasionally appears in a ‘showbiz programme’, although this time he went well out of his comfort zone. Erik Van Looy convinced the Limburger to participate in The Smartest Person in the World.
The Club player makes his appearance tonight and that was immediately accompanied by a nice anecdote. We learn that Mignolet has no knowledge of… West Flemish.
