The Spanish Children’s Championship of Regional Teams will be held throughout the first days of January and it is expected that at the beginning of December the twelve chosen to represent Castilla y León in this event will be known, which will be held in Miranda of Ebro two preparation games against the Navarra regional team. Both Luis Cerezo, a native of San Esteban de Gormaz, and Daniel Llorente are in their second season as federated basketball players and the first of them was already part of the CSB Codesian children’s team that in May of this same year was proclaimed champion of the Cup of Castilla y León. The now cadet Diego Valero competed in the Spanish Children’s Championship for Regional Teams in January 2024.

The list of young players called to prepare for the Spanish Minibasketball Championship of Regional Teams, scheduled for April 2025, is even longer. No player from the Soria Baloncesto Club has ever participated in this event. Both María Martínez and Alejandro Chamarro have been entering the plans of the regional selectors since, at the end of last April, around 80 players from Castilla y León trained in a double session in the Palencia town of Villalobón. All of them arrived at this first concentration after participating in training as part of the Regional Detection Program (PRD) that the Castilla y León Basketball Federation launches every year.
