“That’s the great thing about football. There are always little things that stick in people’s memories,” says Priske ESPN. “Although we have had good weeks, we know that today is a big game and we have another big game in three days. We have to keep working hard.”
The trainer is happy with how everything is currently coming together in his selection. “Of course I am happy that the hard work is paying off. I am happy that we are making progress as a team, because that is important. It is a long season and we have to keep working. No trophies are being won yet. I am still analyzing the matches and continue to see things that we need to improve. Decision-making needs to improve, but it was certainly a good match against FC Utrecht.”
Gernot Trauner
“Against Utrecht was one of the best matches in my opinion,” the Dane continues. Priske explains how important Trauner is for Feyenoord. “He hasn’t played many games for us yet this season, but in the games he played, he certainly brought some experience and peace. Dávid and Beelen have also played good games together. Beelen also played very well against Utrecht. Players who have something contributing to the team is what you need. You can’t play forty or fifty games with the same team.”
