After suffering virtual attacks by fake profiles in a live broadcast by the club’s main organized fans held at the entrance of one of its companies, Leila chose to request protection from the competent bodies.
Jorge Luis Sampaio Santos, president of Mancha Verde, and Felipe de Mattos, vice-president, are prohibited from having contact with the representative, in addition to remaining at a minimum distance of 300 meters. Failure to comply, in turn, may result in preventive detention.
After the ambush, the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) complied with the Public Ministry’s request and banned the organization from attending stadiums in the state of São Paulo. The federation’s decision complies with the recommendation of the 1st prosecutor of Mairiporã and the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (GAECO).
Furthermore, the São Paulo Court ordered the preventive detention of Jorge and Felipe, as well as four others involved in the attack. According to an investigation, the president was the “intellectual mentor of the entire action” that culminated in the death of José Victor Miranda, aged 30.

Origin of rivalry between fans
The rivalry between organized fan groups Mancha Alviverde, from Palmeiras, and Máfia Azul, from Cruzeiro, is behind the attack on Cruzeiro fans. In 2022, Jorge Luiz Sampaio, president of Mancha, was violently attacked by the Blue Mafia in an incident that occurred near Carmópolis, in the interior of Minas Gerais, on a highway.
At the time, videos appeared in which the president appeared bloodied. In one of the images, a member of the Mafia said that Jorge will remain alive “out of conviction”. In the action, the president’s documents were confiscated by Cruzeiro residents, who showed their identity during clashes between the teams at Allianz Parque.
Pity for those involved
The Fan Statute provides for up to two years of imprisonment for those responsible for acts of vandalism, riots or conflicts in football stadiums and other public places. However, the punishment can be aggravated when it occurs outside spaces that host football games.
Therefore, fights on federal highways, like the one seen this Sunday (27), can result in longer sentences. According to federal law, fights without injuries can lead to one year in prison, and with injuries, the sentence can reach up to five years.
In the case of the conflict between Mancha Verde and Mafia Azul, the sentence may be even longer. The court predicts that those involved in fights that involve homicides or serious injuries can face five to 20 years in prison.
