SPORTFREUNDE KLADOW eV

Dear sports friends,

Autumn has arrived and once again there is a lot to report about sports! Katarina and Alexander were able to compete at the Art and Unicycle World Championships this month and Jannis at the Judo Junior World Championships – what great successes! But of course that wasn’t everything, after all, our football, table tennis and volleyball athletes fight for victory and defeat almost every weekend. And there is also one or two events to report from athletics, including the Kladow Cup!

There were two appearances for the Kladow starters under the Great Britain flag at the Artistic and Unicycle World Championships: First, the somewhat ailing Katarina and Alexander competed together in the doubles, and a day later Alexander was able to prove himself in the singles. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your participation in the World Cup again!

But that wasn’t the only World Cup that Kladow athletes were allowed to take part in this month: Kladow judoka Jannis also had the chance to present himself at the Junior World Championships in Dushanbe (Tajikistan): There he performed bravely and was able to In the end he should be proud of his achievements, after all he managed to win two of four fights. But that wasn’t the only important competition for the Kladow judoka: At the specially organized club team championships, the SFK-ShidōSha was able to convince again: While the competition in the U11 was won in both the male and female divisions, the athletes in the U15 each fight for second place. In the end, the U13m finished in third place, while the men came in fifth place. Congratulations!

In football, October saw, among other things, the cup duels between the teams remaining in the cup. While the B-juniors, the women, the men over 32 and the D-juniors had to be eliminated from the tournament in hard-fought games, three Kladow teams were able to secure their ticket to the next round! On the one hand, our D juniors won against SV Empor Berlin with a 3:1 win, and the over 60 seniors were also able to narrowly win their game against Hertha BSC with a score of 6:4 on penalties! A few days later, our over 40s also achieved a win with a 2-0 win against TSV Mariendorf 1897 II. Meanwhile, there was an improvement in the league for the 1st men, who declared war on relegation with a 0-0 draw against FSV Hansa 07 and a 2-1 win against SFC Stern 1900 II!

In athletics, the last competition of the KiLa series was on the program at the end of the season on October 5th, the Kladow Cup. In their usual dominant manner, the Kladower Sportfreunde took first place in all three age groups (U8, U10 and U12), and in the U12 even took second place with the second team. A confident end to a similarly confident season, in which the Kladower teams also won the overall rankings for all three age groups – amazing!

But that’s not all about athletics: Johan and Finley were able to secure first and second place in the U14 category over the distance of 3.6 km in a race in the Sägerseries, while Charlotte took fourth place in the female competition. And finally, our youngest also competed at the dwarf sports festival (competitions for U10, U8 and U6) on October 3rd. In the end, five first places, four second places, four third places and numerous other top ten placements were achieved. We congratulate the female U8 relay as well as the U8 shuttle relay, Lara (U8) and Lily (U10) on their victories and congratulate all other participating athletes on their great achievements!

Many games also took place in volleyball: While the first women’s season is still not getting going with two defeats and the first men also had to admit defeat twice in October (2:3 vs. TSV Wedding and 0:3 vs. Rotation middle), the Kladow volleyball players were more successful in other areas: with two 3-0 successes, the women’s II team managed to climb to the top of the table in a convincing manner, while the U16m team achieved promotion with four wins and only one defeat the first performance class of the youth group was successful! In table tennis, too, some teams are still looking for their form. Only a 5:5 draw against the Spandau TTC for the U18 boys was a small ray of hope in a series of defeats. We are sure: November will be better!

That’s it again for this month! Have we forgotten something? Then feel free to write to us: [email protected]!
