After the difficult stop against Capo d’Orlando, Logiman Crema returns to the field on their home parquet, ready to challenge league leaders Sae Scientifica Legnano. The rosanero will have to do without Wiltshire, who is out for a long break, and captain Fazioli, who will be out for at least two weeks.
For Logiman, it will be the first outing without coach Lombardi, who resigned this week, and the main objective is to regain determination and confidence. The guests, led by the reconfirmed coach Piazza, have renewed the team this summer: despite losing the historic captain Tommy Marino, they managed to retain the top player, the Italian-American Raivio, the team’s best scorer with an average of 15 points per game.
In the control room there will be a former Crema player, the playmaker Oboe, who arrived after an excellent season with Logiman. In double figures of points we also find the guard Sodero, an expert player with a good shot. The starting five should be completed with winger Mastroianni, a solid defender, and center Quarisa, the best rebounder in the category last season and an intimidating presence under the basket. Scali, Gallizzi and the big man Agostini rise from the bench, providing Legnano with excellent depth.
Legnano is an experienced team that plays with continuity and precision, supported by important scorers such as Sodero and Raivio, who in past years have also stood out in Serie A2. For Logiman, winning the two points will be an arduous challenge against a team of such caliber, but the Crema public expects a response of character after the disappointing performance of Capo d’Orlando.
