Until Thursday, day of 8es final, French tennis had a sense of celebration for the last of the Rolex Paris Masters in Bercy. With five of our representatives in 8es final (Rinderknech, Fils, Mannarino, Cazaux and Humbert), it is even a record that had been equaled. Unheard of since 2009 in Paris (Benneteau, Monfils, Simon, Tsonga, Clément) and at the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo in 2016 (Paire, Pouille, Simon, Tsonga, Monfils). The Accor Arena loved and vibrated. Contrast. A year ago, French tennis experienced its worst historical record in the Parisian arena: only one representative in the second round (Humbert) and none in the next round.
