Žilina Strengthens Squad: Key Player Transfers and Exciting Striker Acquisition from Dukla Trenčín

There was an exchange of players between the DOXXbet Vlci Žilina and HK Dukla Trenčín teams. Forwards Juraj Bezúch and Bruno Mráz are leaving the Wolves team, forward Jozef Baláž is coming to Žilina.

One of the most productive players of Dukla from Trenčín, he has nine Canadian points for five goals and four assists in twelve games this season. In his career, in addition to Trenčín, he gained experience in the Slovak extra league, as well as in the Nitra jersey.

In the Czech Republic, the 25-year-old student of Liptovský Mikuláš worked in the youth categories in Vítkovice, in whose jersey he also played in the extra league, and the year before last he also briefly worked in Karlovy Vary.

At the national team level, he played for Slovakia at the under-18 and under-20 world championships, and has so far scored seven goals in 21 matches in the most valuable jersey.

“One of the Slovak players with a difference is coming to us. With his playful behavior on the ice and honest work off it, he fits into our style and into a team that has clear habits and knows what drives us to success. Expectations are high on both sides,” said Director and General Manager of DOXXbet Vlci Žilina František Skladaný upon the arrival of Jozef Baláž.

On the contrary, forwards Juraj Bezúch and Bruno Mráz are leaving for Dukla Trenčín. “Many thanks to Juraj and also to Bruno for the work done in our jersey. It was Bruno who was one of the pillars of the Wolves even in seasons that did not go according to our expectations, but he finally brought his mission in Žilina to the desired end by advancing to the extra league.

Both were part of the significant success of Žilina hockey, to which they contributed greatly. We thank both of them and wish them all the best in their future careers.” said the director of DOXXbet Vlci Žilina František Skladaný on the occasion of the departure of the players.
