One of the greatest basketball players in history commits. Los Angeles Lakers NBA superstar LeBron James called on Thursday to vote for Democratic White House candidate Kamala Harris five days before the US presidential election.
“When I think about my children and my family, about their future, for me the choice is clear. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!! “, wrote the “King” on his social networks, a message accompanied by a video montage denouncing in particular the racist nature of Donald Trump‘s big meeting held on Sunday in Madison Square Garden in New York, followed by historical images of the fight for civil rights and the Black Lives Matter movement.
What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!! pic.twitter.com/tYYlTmQS6e

At 39 years old, LeBron James, crowned Olympic champion for the third time with the United States this summer in Paris, began his twenty-second NBA season last week. He even shared a few minutes on the floor with his son Bronny James in the Lakers jersey.
He had already supported Democratic candidates in the past and criticized Donald Trump, notably in 2017 when he wrote that being received at the White House (as NBA champion) “was a great honor, until for you to enter.”
Several NBA figures oppose Trump
Several influential voices in the NBA have recently lent their support to Kamala Harris, notably former court star Magic Johnson, or even Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and his coach Steve Kerr. The vice-president displays a long-standing closeness with the flagship team of the San Francisco Bay Area, her native region.
Historic San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich once again blasted Donald Trump this week, calling him “a pathetic individual.”
