Remaining in Manchester were wife Bianca and their three children. Bianca is expected to be the one to fix the administrative parts before she joins her husband in the Netherlands.
Erik ten Hag is described as having close ties to his childhood town of around 31,000 inhabitants. To the Daily Mail, a neighbor says that the local people are very proud of him and he is treated respectfully and is allowed to be in peace there.
Manchester United have started the season weakly and are in 14th place in the Premier League. Ruud van Nistelrooy is interim coach before Rúben Amorim is expected to take over.
