Just like Paul George, Joel Embiid still hasn’t played a single minute since the start of the season since the Sixers big man injured his left knee. However, he recently returned to regular training. In recent days he has in fact participated in the five-on-five with the team, which is always the last step before the official return to the field. Joel Embiid is therefore increasingly closer to returning.
Once the last two practices scheduled for today are completed, the Philadelphia franchise will then make a decision regarding his presence for the next game, Saturday at home against the Grizzlies. The Sixers will then leave for a “road trip” of three games to the West. Recall that the NBA confirmed the 2023 MVP’s left knee injury, despite sanctioning the Sixers for announcing, in advance and without taking into account the evolution of the player’s health, that Joel Embiid would miss games during the season.
