Carolina Marín, Spanish badminton player, three-time world champion and one-time Olympic champion, criticized the actions of political forces regarding the floods caused by the damage in the province of Valencia that have already caused more than 200 victims.
Marín did it through his official account on the social network X, in response to a video news published by the newspaper El País in which it was reported displacement of thousands of people from the city from Valencia to the southern towns affected by dana to offer their help.
“In front of the politicians, the pride of the people. Some eliminated resources and failed in prevention, others do not prove to be up to the task either.. Meanwhile, people giving how much or little they have to help others. Solidarity”, wrote the athlete.
Some phrases and a general feeling regarding almost every step that the administrations are taking from the moment in which prevention was required to the actions after the tragedy and its management with more recriminations than joint actions.
Along the same lines, other familiar faces. It is the case of Antonio Banderas which also asks questions that are very general: Why aren’t army helicopters sent to the Valencian towns affected by DANA with food, water, and medicine? Why not sappers to open roads, portable communication centers, field hospitals? Why aren’t our taxes and resources used better? Why?
