The 32nd round of the Brasileirão-2024 started on Friday night (1).
Fluminense and Grêmio faced each other in an extremely important duel in the fight against Z-4.
Rio’s Tricolor managed to turn things around, but the Rio Grande do Sul team made it 2 x 2 in stoppage time with a penalty kick.
The team from Rio Grande do Sul has not been bettered by its rival in BR games since 2020 – there are seven wins and one draw.
Check out the best moments of the match below.
Grêmio was lethal in its first good articulated counterattack – the move it was looking for.
It was up to the attentive Braithwaite to take advantage (26′).
Fluminense reacted as the minutes passed. Marchesín frustrated Lima.
But he didn’t prevent Arias’ goal before the break (43′).
The final stage had a superior Fluminense. Arias saw Marchesín as a villain.
Then it was up to the goalkeeper to deny Kauã Elias a goal.
However, the young man ended his nine-game streak by beating his rival from the top (66′).
Renato tried to provide fresh air for his attack.
Fluminense had a great opportunity to “kill” the game, but Nonato wasted it.
The final minutes were tense.
And Fábio’s penalty in Arezo scored by Matheus Delgado Candançan.
Which would be converted by Reinaldo (95′).
Fluminense’s loss was even greater: Ganso, Arias, Kauã Elias and Thiago Santos were suspended and did not face Internacional.
Felipe Melo is also left out after being sent off the bench. When leaving the field, he would gesture that Flu was “robbed” in the penalty shootout.
