Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/nfl-10-stories-to-watch-in-the-first-round-of-the-playoffs/" title="NFL: 10 stories to watch in the first round of the playoffs”>Matthew Stafford, had strong words about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce earlier this year as she spoke out about their relationship. But it appears many of these comments were motivated by jealousy.
Back in May, Kelly Stafford expressed her displeasure with the media attention given to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.
“I don’t know if I want to see another four months of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce coverage,” Stafford said in May on his “The Morning After” podcast, according to Athlon Sports.
But she recently admitted her comments were rooted in jealousy.
“I was having jealousy issues because of the fact that she suddenly became the main broadcast of NFL football, or their relationship,” Stafford said on the most recent episode of his podcast.
But even though she had “jealousy issues,” that didn’t mean she didn’t like Taylor Swift.
“Now, I’ve never once said I don’t like Taylor Swift. But I will say that I’m a little tired of the media coverage of the Chiefs, or in fact, the media coverage of this budding relationship by the NFL last year,” Stafford said.
“I almost felt like it overshadowed the games,” she continued. “I think that’s what bothered me.”

“And I watch my husband and all these guys who play for the league work their [behinds] and all of a sudden they become the sideshow.
But now it seems that she has changed her mind in this regard.
“I’m very grateful to her in so many ways,” Stafford said. “There are so many more women watching. Little girls watching with their dads. It definitely makes my girls love soccer more knowing that they’re adjacent to it…At the end of the day, I’m grateful for it all.
Obviously, she changed her mind.
