Dorival Unveils Flamengo’s Final Squad: Gerson and Three Former Stars Make the Cut

Gerson received another call-up from Dorival Júnior to the Brazilian National Team

Dorival Júnior called up the Brazilian squad for the games against Venezuela and Uruguay, in the World Cup qualifiers. The commander called up Gerson, from Flamengo, and three other players who have already worn the Sacred Mantle: Vini Jr, Andreas Pereira and Lucas Paquetá.

Defenders: Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, Militão and Murilo

Midfielders: André, Andreas Pereira, Bruno Guimarães, Gerson, Paquetá

Forwards: Raphinha, Estevão, Igor Jesus, Luiz Henrique, Rodrygo, Savinho and Vini Jr.

The Brazilian team will first play against Venezuela, on November 14th, in the 11th round of the World Cup qualifiers. The game takes place from 6pm (Brasília time), in the Venezuelan capital, and Dorival’s team seeks to remain among the top placed on the leaderboard.

The Brazilian team’s last game takes place on November 19th, against Uruguay. The clash is scheduled to take place at Arena Fonte Nova, starting at 9:45 pm (Brasília time). In other words, fans can come to the stadium to follow the team.

WHEN WILL GERSON REPORT FOR THE SELECTION?

Due to the call-up, Gerson will return to the Brazilian team after the final of the Copa do Brasil, on November 11th. Flamengo faces Atlético-MG in the decision of the national competition and will be available to Filipe Luís until the 10th of the same month.

Gerson will even be involved in Flamengo’s game this Sunday (03), at Maracanã, against Atlético-MG, in the final of the Copa do Brasil. The clash is scheduled to take place from 4pm (Brasília time), with broadcast from Coluna do Flano YouTube.
