The family of Jakub, who died while working abroad, has to deal with a very heavy blow. The twenty-one-year-old footballer was a player of the Slovak club TJ Družstevník Očkov. “He was always smiling,” the family recalls emotionally.
“Jakub was our joy and our light. We cannot imagine life without him,” the mayor of Očkov Miroslav Beňovič told the Nový Čas website. “I was his coach from the age of four. Now we feel a void,” added Beňovič.
The 21-year-old footballer played for the club TJ Družstevník Očkov, but his fate was to work abroad, which was also confirmed by the family for the aforementioned website. “Our Jakub had a work accident abroad, we don’t want to talk about it anymore,” said sister Izabela.
“He always smiled and loved his family. He loved his friends, football and was very happy,” added the family who lost their son. He worked abroad in order to financially help those closest to him.
