Arsenal have started to slip away from the top of the Premier League.
During Saturday, Mikel Arteta and his men fell away against Newcastle, with 1-0. “Gunners” then again missed their fixed star and team captain Martin Ødegaard.
– No, we didn’t have him with us. We can discuss it all day. We haven’t had him for the last four or six weeks and we don’t have him now either,” said Arteta.
The Arsenal manager speaks at the press conference after the match. There, the question arose as to whether Arteta believes his team lacks “a player like Alexander Isak”, who scored the only goal at St. James’ Park.
The Spaniard replies:
– I love my players and wouldn’t trade them for anyone else, says Arteta.
– When you create three big chances in a match, you need to score because we always discuss small margins. Today the team should have created more chances and that is my responsibility.
The Guardian has previously stated that Arsenal are interested in signing Alexander Isak, who scored four goals this autumn.
