One gold and two silver for Alhama in the Judo Cup of the Fair

Laura Andreo won the gold medal and Caroline Houdusse and Andrea Ortiz won the silver. Each one in their respective categories competed in the final of the Fair’s Judo Cup, which was held this Saturday at the Adolfo Suárez Pavilion. The stands had a significant influx of people to attend the competition. The sporting event has allowed athletes of all ages to show their skills on the tatami.

In a few weeks there will be another opportunity to enjoy this sport. It will be December 14. That day there will be a competition for the youngest and junior categories followed by a festival, where the participants will put on an exhibition, explained David Romar, president of the Alhama Judo Club and the Federation of Judo and Associated Sports of the Region of Murcia.

Romar has expressed satisfaction with the participation in the Judo Cup this Saturday, which has brought together 200 athletes, the highest number in the four editions held so far. And he has also expressed his satisfaction with the results obtained by the three representatives of Alhama in the female category and by the only one in the male category, Adnán Chakir, who came in fifth place.

The Councilor for Sports, Antonio Sibina, participated in the presentation of medals to the best finishers. Subsequently, David Romar and the three Alhameña judokas gave him a trophy in recognition of his support for the organization of the Judo Cup.
