İZMİR (AA) – Karşıyaka defeated its host Galatasaray 94-81 in the 5th week match of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League.

Karşıyaka, which started the match with a 5-0 run and responded to its opponent with a 12-0 run, was ahead 12-5 in the 5th minute. Increasing the difference to 13 points (23-10) in the remaining period, the home team finished the period ahead 23-14.

Karşıyaka started the second period with a 7-0 run with points from Webb, Muhsin and Russell, and increased the difference to 17 points with Kenan’s 3-point field goal in the 16th minute: 37-20. Galatasaray, which had an 8-0 streak with Buğrahan and Livingston, reduced the difference to 7 points with Livingston’s 3-point field goal: 41-34. The home team went to the locker room ahead 46-37.

Galatasaray, who was effective with Livingston in front of Karşıyaka, increased the difference to 12 points (54-42) with points from Webb and Jefferson at the beginning of the third period, and reduced the score to 3 points with consecutive points from Palmer in the 26th minute: 60-57.
