On the penultimate matchday of the District League East before the winter break, FC Künzing’s gap to league leaders Vornbach was reduced to five points. The DJK had to accept a goal in the final minute against the team of the hour, TSV Waldkirchen (1:1), while the “Römers” celebrated a confident derby victory.
It also gets tighter further down the rankings, because none of the teams ranked fifth to twelfth were able to win, which is why Oberpolling (2-0 against Oberdiendorf) and Grafenau (2-1 against Mauth) reduced their gap to the first non-relegation place to two or four points. Nevertheless, it has been clear since Saturday: bottom team Osterhofen will spend the winter in a relegation zone, while Grafenau and Schöfweg are also in the danger zone.
Waldkirchen – Vornbach 1:1: For a long time it looked like an away win for the league leaders. The Vornbachers impressed in the duels in front of 250 spectators, had a lot of possession of the ball and let the game equipment circulate through the ranks. Accordingly, Fabian Kreilinger made it 0-1 (22nd) in the middle of the first half. Waldkirchen came under pressure again and again, but the deficit remained narrow and in the final phase the Damberger team was able to make the game more open and Nico Bauer scored the not entirely undeserved equalizer in the last minute – this means that TSV Waldkirchen has now been unbeaten for seven games ! SR Dominikspeider (Ergolding).
Künzing – Garham 4:2: The early goal was the wake-up call for the Künzingen defense, which was more present from then on. Nevertheless, goalkeeper Daniel Schedlbauer had to distinguish himself several times in the first half in front of 290 spectators and prevent further Garham goals in 1-1 situations. Künzing had more possession of the ball, but SVG was always dangerous. Only a switch to a three-man chain at the start gave the “Romans” more stability and the Süß/Burmberger team then had their guests under control and deservedly won this derby. The crux of the game was probably the yellow-red card against Mario Grill (65th) shortly after the interim 3-2 for Künzing. Goals: 0:1 Niklas Zankl (5th); 1:1 Lukas Ebner (45); 2:1 Christian Seidl (51./FE); 2:2 Zankl (58th); 3:2 Seidl (61st); 4:2 Simon Göde (74th). SR Fabian Kirchberger (Nottau).
Oberpolling – Oberdiendorf 2:0: In the last Oberpollinger home game, the two strong teams gave each other nothing and Philipp Seidl developed into the match winner. The 21-year-old gave the hosts the lead after a dead ball (33′) and, inspired by this goal, Seidl – after outstanding preparatory work from Maximilian Stockinger – made it 2-0 before the break (45′). After the break, Oberdiendorf tried vehemently to get back into the game, but the promoted team could no longer endanger SVO’s deserved victory. SR Philipp Spateneder (Anzenkirchen).
Rain – Ruhmannsfelden 1:1: The guests dominated this district derby in front of 260 spectators because the local TSV showed too much respect. Although the relegated national league team controlled the ball and opponents, the Spvgg did not often pose a goal threat. But with their first real chance to score, Ruhmannsfelden took the lead through Felix Brunner (20th). Even after that, the Wiesinger/Wittenzellner team were agile, but Jonas Achatz carelessly left the score 2-0 from eight meters and from the middle of the second half the Regen team came into the game better and a derby atmosphere still arose. In the 75th minute, tempers heated up when, according to TSV Regen, the ball was clearly behind the line, but the referee team led by Fabian Wagner (Altenkirchen) refused to recognize the goal. However, the anger quickly disappeared because a minute later Günther Denk was in the right spot and converted to make the final score 1-1. After that there were still opportunities on both sides, but apart from a traffic light card, nothing more happened. Yellow-red: Simon Fieweger (Reg, 87th), Josef Schmidt (Ruh, 90th). SR Fabian Wagner (Altenkirchen).
Andreas Simmet gives Grafenau a derby victory
Grafenau – Mauth 2:1: The home club has not yet submitted a report. 200 spectators watched the derby in Galgenau and saw the “Stodbärn” narrowly win. Goals: 0:1 Jonas Gaisbauer (54th); 1:1 Maximilian Pleintinger (58./FE); 2:1 Andreas Simmet (71st). SR Samuel Matysek (Otzing).
Osterhofen – Hutthurm 1:1: The 100 spectators saw a weak game and a fair division of points, although both teams still had great chances of scoring the winning goal shortly before the end. A powerful shot from Osterhofen’s Dominik Breu hit the crossbar (80′). The home team invested significantly more, especially in the last 20 minutes, but ultimately couldn’t reward themselves and were lucky in the last few seconds that a goal from Hutthurm was not recognized due to handball. Even worse for the guests: Fabian Semsch injured his shoulder and had to be taken to hospital. Goals: 0:1 Eldan Ramovic (58th); 1:1 Denis Sharankov (61st). SR Lukas Krautner (Gerzen).
Niederalteich – Grainet 0:0: In an even game, the two teams largely neutralized each other in front of 150 spectators and therefore there were few significant scoring opportunities. However, both teams could have emerged victorious from the game. The guests, who dominated the game overall, had two very good opportunities shortly before half-time and Spvgg almost scored the winning goal in stoppage time, but SVG keeper Andreas Biebl parried a header from Maximilian Mutz and it ultimately remained a goalless and fair draw. SR Timo Mühlbauer (Otterskirchen).
