IFK Gothenburg lost the victory at home – again.
– It’s really boring. It is typical that we cannot hold out and take a third in this match. It is typical. Sad, says the club’s technical director Ola Larsson after Blåvitts 1-1 against Kalmar.
At the same time, the point against KFF could turn out to be absolutely decisive. If BP defeats IFK Värnamo at home on Sunday, Blåvitt is all set for Allsvenskan 2025.
Ola Larsson himself worked in BP for many years. Now he hopes to get help from his former club.
– It is quite reasonable that they do their job. They’ve had a good season and I think they can take some kind of scoring record, from what I understand. Plus they have a forward there (Nikola Vasic) who can win the shooting league. Then there should be quite a lot of motivation for them to win, says Larsson.
Are there any concerns for these teams that don’t have much to play for?
– Yes, that’s clear. You see towards the end of the season that there are a lot of strange results. But in this case they are playing at home, have had a good season and were very good against Kalmar last time. Really, there’s nothing to say they couldn’t do their best in this match.
Who are you messing with in BP?
– I guess I can call the whole team, says Larsson jokingly.
How will you follow the match (BP-Värnamo)?
– It’s like always. You sit with your heart in your throat during these matches. That’s how it is every time.
Blåvitt defender August Erlingmark was disappointed after 1-1 against Kalmar.
– This was not what we wanted. We wanted to secure the shit today. But everyone is on the court and everyone is prepared to do anything. But it is clear that we wanted to do it today, says Erlingmark.
Erlingmark, on the other hand, is not as sure whether he will follow BP-Värnamo.
– I will have some form of control. Everyone has their own tune there. I don’t usually like to check. But it is clear that one is reached by the results. Especially tomorrow.
You won’t watch the match?
– No, I don’t think so. I have better things to do. It is enough to play football. No, but just keep going. We cannot do otherwise. Feeling sorry for ourselves… We’re obviously not good enough to close out the game today.
