Sports is one of the sectors in the world where the most money moves. In Colombia, according to the National Administrative Department of Statistics, Dane, Sport generates around 1,600 jobs and in recent years has contributed close to $4 billion to the country’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP.

The New York Yankees are in second place with a value of $7.1 billion. This baseball team, which recently lost the world series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, is owned by the Steinbrenner family.
The NBA team appears in a tie for third place the Golden State Warriors and the NFL team, the New England Patriots. Both are worth US$7 billion.
After these four American football teams appear. The first of these are the Angeles Rams (4). The group is owned by E. Stanley Kroenke and has a value of US$6.9 billion. To close the top 10 there appears, once again, an NFL team, the Washington Commanders. EThe complex is worth US$6.05 billion and its owner is Joshua Harris.
From the top 10 to the top 20 there are only four teams that are not American football, these are: Manchester United (11), worth US$6 billion; Los Angeles Lakers (13), worth US$5,900; FC Barcelona (16), worth US$5,508; and Luis Díaz’s Liverpool (18) with a value of US$5,288 million.
Of the 50 most valuable teams, professional American football has 30 teams. The 50 teams are collectively worth US$256 billion, an average of US$5.12 billion.
