The Catamarca delegation left to participate in the Evita National Sports Games, bound for the city of Mar del Plata, in the province of Buenos Aires from November 4 to 9. Organization dependent of the Sports and Recreation Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Province.

To finalize details, an information meeting was held this Thursday with professors and references from the different disciplines in the Conference Room of the Bicentenario Provincial Stadium.

The meeting, headed by the Secretary of Sports Guillermo Perna and the directors of Social Sports Federico Andrada and Adapted Sports Gonzalo Pérez, began with the delivery of the identifying clothing that Catamarca will have at the Games.

Regarding the trip, the largest concentration will take place at the Stadium starting at 9:30 a.m., with the departure of five buses. In addition, one will leave from Andalgalá and another from Tinogasta, completing the delegation with all the participants from the interior.

The delegation that includes the categories Sub 13, Sub 14, Sub 15, Sub 16 and Sub 18 (Adapted Sports), will travel to the “Happy City” with athletes representing twelve departments, which are: Capital, Valle Viejo , Fray Mamerto Esquiú, Capayán, Paclín, Santa Rosa, La Paz, Pomán, Andalgalá, Belén, Tinogasta and Santa María.

The sports disciplines that will take part in the Evita National Sports Games will be the following:
Under 13: women’s artistic gymnastics.
Under 14: rhythmic gymnastics, judo, swimming, taekwondo and table tennis.
Under 15: athletics, volleyball and men’s artistic gymnastics.
Under 16: badminton, 3×3 basketball, BMX freestyle, boxing, canoeing, cycling, freestyle, futsal, beach handball, 7-a-side hockey, Olympic lifting, karate, rugby, skateboarding, tennis, shooting, archery, triathlon and beach volleyball .
Adapted sports: swimming, athletics, boccia and table tennis.
