Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Coach Arsenal Mikel Arteta expressed his disappointment after losing to Newcastle United in the 10th week Premier LeagueSaturday (2/11).
Competing at St James Park Stadium, Arsenal was forced to surrender 0-1 to Newcastle. The hosts’ only goal was scored by Alexander Isak in the 12th minute.
After the match, Arteta assessed that his team had performed quite impressively. It’s just that the mainstay players failed to take advantage of a series of golden opportunities they had.

“We had two or three golden opportunities. First from Mikel [Merino]then Declan Rice, and finally Gabriel Jesus. “But this threat was not enough for us to really change the game and win it,” said Arteta, quoted by Sky Sport.
“That’s the frustrating part. However, we also have to give appreciation to Newcastle for the struggle they put in,” he added.
The Spanish coach could not describe his mood after suffering defeat to the Magpies.
“We will not find the right answer or words to describe our feelings at the moment. However, we have to prove it against Inter [Milan] on Wednesday night,” said Arteta.
“This is not about hoping to win a title, but rather about bringing out the best version of ourselves for each other every week. Today we were not at our best,” he added.
Negative results at Newcastle headquarters made Arsenal drop to fourth place in the standings with 18 points. The Gunners are seven points behind Liverpool who are at the top.
