Conit Cisterna doesn’t stop and goes 4 out of 4

Conit Cisterna beat History Roma 3Z away with a result of 4-7 and achieved their fourth consecutive victory in the A2 men’s futsal championship. With this success the Pontine team of presidents Luigi Iazzetta and Tomas Martino rises to 12 points, at the top of the Group C standings, equal on points with Sulmona and with a three point advantage over the pair made up of Junior Domitia and Italpol.

«It was a hard-fought victory and in my opinion the boys did not take to the pitch with the right determination and we must always pay attention because when the level increases we risk losing – warns president Luigi Iazzetta – after the 3-2 of our opponents I thought I really liked the move of the field goalkeeper and also the attitude of the coach who, despite having recovered the game, at 3-3, left the field goalkeeper and we took the lead: we must never feel stronger because this is a championship very complicated. This start of the season? The victories raise our morale a lot, we want to continue in the next matches from which we will understand where we can get to.”

The Cisternae club, making its debut in the A2 championship, has already demonstrated a good scoring ability with 28 goals scored so far which are also worth the provisional first place among the most prolific teams in the group. «We had some defections but this must never be an alibi for us, whoever wants to make the top championships must not look at the absences and I thank the club for making a long squad available to me, I also thank the boys who they are busy – explains coach Claudio Giuliani, in his first season on the Conit bench – The start of the season? So far we have done the battle and now we have the important clash at home against Cioli. I don’t watch the rest of the games that await us because I watch one game at a time and I also pass this on to the boys, then later we will do the first calculations.”

«We played an excellent first half against a team that, by defending in a zone, makes the game different to all the others, we did it very well, we immediately went ahead by two goals and we also had the opportunities to round up the score – adds the coach – during the interval I asked the boys not to risk too much so as not to let them get back into the game, unfortunately we suffered a carom which went towards goal: at 1-2 we didn’t materialize and we also conceded 2-2 and the 3-2, ceasing to be dangerous. We played the card of the mobile goalkeeper, in which we always express ourselves very well, so we immediately reversed it: first the 3-3 and then the 3-4. At the end we closed the match which, I repeat, was a tough challenge and deserves our compliments because they played an excellent match.”
