Ravens crush Broncos
Lamar Jackson earned a perfect efficiency rating and the Baltimore Ravens crushed the Denver Broncos 41-10 on Sunday.
Jackson threw three touchdown passes and for 280 yards. Running back Derrick Henry reached a few plateaus in this easy victory.
The Ravens’ (6-3) defense didn’t force a punt until the third quarter, but a few stops on fourth down helped the Baltimore team erase its surprising defeat in Cleveland last week.
Receiver Zay Flowers caught five balls for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Henry had 107 rushing yards and two majors.
Rookie quarterback Bo Nix caught a touchdown pass on a trick play, but the Broncos (5-4) were dominated from the start of the game. The Denver squad has a meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend.
Henry scored his 100th and 101st career rushing touchdowns and surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark in a season for the sixth time.
Henry had a touchdown in every game this season and became the third player in history to score 10 rushing touchdowns in seven straight years, joining LaDainian Tomlinson (2001-09) and Adrian Peterson (2007- 13).
Jackson completed 16 of his 19 passes. He claimed a perfect rating of 158.3, the fourth of his career.
The Ravens led 17-10 after a Broncos field goal with 54 seconds left in the first half. The home team, however, struck before returning to the locker room and after returning to the field.
Flowers caught a pass up the middle for a 53-yard touchdown with just 16 seconds left in the second quarter. The Ravens took the ball back to start the second half and made it 31-10 following a six-yard run by Henry.
Only two teams had scored at least 20 points in a game against the Broncos this season, but the matchup against the powerful Ravens offense did not go well.

Chargers beat Browns in Cleveland
Justin Herbert had 282 air yards and two touchdown passes on Sunday as the Los Angeles Chargers won 27-10 at the expense of the Cleveland Browns.
Herbert connected with Quentin Johnston for 66 yards and Joshua Palmer for 27 yards for the touchdowns in question.
Before the pass to Palmer, Darius Davis set the field by returning a punt 53 yards.
The Chargers (5-3) are undefeated in their last five games against the Browns.
JK Dobbins had rushing touchdowns with runs of 16 and seven yards.
The Chargers will play three straight home games starting next Sunday against Tennessee.
For the Browns, Jameis Winston committed three interceptions and suffered six sacks.
Cleveland (2-7) had just 57 yards in the first half.
Myles Garrett had three sacks, but the Browns’ home record slipped to 1-4.

The Commanders are 7-2, their first since 1996
Jayden Daniels completed two touchdown passes to Terry McLaurin on Sunday, helping the Washington Commanders win 27-22 against the New York Giants.
The Commanders are 7-2, their last record since 1996.
McLaurin caught touchdown passes of one yard and 18 yards in the first half.
Washington’s first touchdown started with a sack where Dante Fowler made Daniel Jones lose the ball.
The Commanders will host the Steelers next Sunday.
Beaten for a fourth time in a row, the Giants saw their record slip to 2-7. They remain winless in five home matches.
Jones rushed two yards to the penalty area and threw two touchdown passes.
Playing his first game in the NFL, Irishman Jude McAtamney made a 31-yard field goal.

A third defeat in a row for the Cowboys
Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes and the Falcons won 27-21 against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
It was a third loss in a row for the Cowboys (3-5), who also saw Dak Prescott injured in the back of his thigh.
The Falcons are 6-3 after this second straight win.
Cousins had 222 passing yards – touchdown passes were caught by Darnell Mooney (36 yards), Ray-Ray McCloud (11 yards) and Drake London (nine yards).
Atlanta has prevailed on five occasions in six meetings.
Bijan Robinson excelled again for the Falcons with 86 yards on 19 carries, along with 59 yards on seven receptions.
The Falcons will play at New Orleans next Sunday.
Prescott had 133 air yards, including a touchdown pass.

Tyler Bass gives the Bills victory
Tyler Bass made the longest field goal of his career – 61 yards – with five seconds left, Josh Allen threw three touchdown passes in the second half and the Buffalo Bills won 30-27 in a thrilling game against the Miami Dolphins.
The two teams traded leads four times in the second half, including seven consecutive possessions that ended with points – four by the Bills (7-2) and three by the Dolphins (2-6).
The Bills’ final offensive drive was stopped at the 43 line in Dolphins territory and head coach Sean McDermott decided to trust Bass, who had missed a convert earlier in the game.
Bass not only sent the ball between the two posts, he even reached the first row of fans in the end zone. This is the longest field goal in Bills history.
The Bills, who won their fourth straight game, are 7-2 for the first time since 2020. They have four more wins than the New York Jets (3-6), who are their closest pursuers in the Eastern Section of the American Association.
The Dolphins have lost their last nine games in Buffalo, a streak dating back to December 24, 2016.
This is a hard blow for the Florida team, who saw their chances of participating in the playoffs almost go up in smoke with this third consecutive defeat.
This other defeat is not attributable to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who completed 25 of his 28 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns.
Allen, for his part, finished the game with 25 of 39 completions for 235 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.

A first home win for the Bengals
Joe Burrow tied a career high with five touchdown passes and the Cincinnati Bengals earned their first home win on Sunday, dominating the Las Vegas Raiders 41-24.
Chase Brown set a career high with 120 rushing yards.
The Bengals have won three of their last four games, improving their record to 4-5.
Brown, Andrei Iosivas and Drew Sample each had a six-point catch, before Mike Gesicki made two of the same. Burrow totaled 251 passing yards.
Gesicki had 100 yards on five catches.
Trey Hendrickson added four sacks which brought his sacks to 11 this season, first in the NFL.
The Raiders suffered a fifth straight loss, bringing their performance to 2-7.
Gardner Minshew was limited to 124 passing yards. He was replaced late in the third quarter by Desmond Ridder, once a star with the University of Cincinnati.
Jakobi Meyers caught eight balls for 105 yards.

The Panthers find their way to victory
Chuba Hubbard scored a 16-yard touchdown run with 2:18 on the clock and the Carolina Panthers stopped a five-game losing streak on Sunday, winning 23-22 against the New Orleans Saints.
Hubbard also went into the pay zone with a one-yard run in the third quarter.
Bryce Young had 171 air yards, including a touchdown pass.
The Panthers (2-7) benefited from strong games from rookies Ja’Tavion Sanders and Xavier Legette: the former racked up 87 receiving yards, the latter caught a fourth touchdown pass.
For the Saints (2-7), Alvin Kamara had 155 yards rushing and 60 yards catching.
New Orleans lost a seventh consecutive game.
The Saints had a chance to win with a field goal with less than two minutes left in the final quarter. Carolina’s defense said no, helped among other things by a sack of Jadeveon Clowney on second down.

The Titans win in overtime over the Patriots
Nick Folk made a 25-yard field goal with 2:32 left in overtime and the Tennessee Titans defeated the New England Patriots 20-17 on Sunday.
The Titans (2-6), who ended a three-game losing streak, also gave head coach Brian Callahan his first home victory this season.
The Patriots (2-7) sent rookie Drake Maye into the fray after he was cleared by doctors Saturday to play after suffering a concussion last week against the New York Jets.
Maye forced overtime with a five-yard touchdown pass to Rhamondre Stevenson late in the fourth quarter, but was intercepted after Folk’s field goal in overtime to end the game.
The Titans also had four sacks and created three turnovers. Tennessee’s defense leads the NFL in fewest yards allowed to the opponent.
Mason Rudolph threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Nick Westbrooke-Ikhine with 4:27 left. It was the Titans’ first points in the fourth quarter since September 30. Rudolph finished the game with 240 yards.
