The 33rd edition of the Buenos Aires Gamesthe main sports and cultural competition in the Province of Buenos Aires that is organized by the Ministry of Community Development. More than 26 thousand finalists from 135 municipalities competed for six days in the 119 stages distributed in Mar del Plata and its surroundings. The Municipality of Quilmes ranked third in the general classification behind the champion Lomas de Zamora and the runner-up La Matanza.

For the third consecutive year, Lomas de Zamora was crowned champion with 34 gold medals, 14 silver and 10 bronze. The three-time champions stood out in disciplines such as skating, athletics, aquathlon, table tennis, swimming, goalball, volleyball, 3 x 3 basketball, skateboarding, hockey, shuffleboard, judo, fishing, taekwondo, beach soccer, literature and vocal soloist, among others. .

La Matanza finished second with 32 gold, 22 silver and 18 bronze.

While Quilmes completed the podium with 28, 20 and 6 respectively, adding a total of 54 medals and surpassing the delegations of La Plata, General Pueyrredón, Florencio Varela, Almirante Brown, Berazategui, Moreno and Merlo.

After the completion of the competition, the Minister of Community Development, Andrés Larroque, highlighted that “this year we were able to hold the Games due to the political decision of Governor Axel Kicillof” and remarked that “thanks to the provincial State, more than 26 thousand Buenos Aires residents “The 135 municipalities were able to reach the finals in Mar del Plata.”
