Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto And Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana withdraw from Korea Masters 2024. Men’s doubles coach Aryono Miranat reveal the reason.

The confirmation of Indonesia’s two mainstay men’s doubles pairs is absent from the BWF tournament software page regarding the list of athletes who will appear and withdraw.

Initially there were four Indonesian men’s doubles representatives who would play in the BWF Super 300 tournament which will start from Tuesday (5/11) to Sunday (11/11) in Iksan City, South Korea.

Namely Daniel Marthin/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Fajar Alfian/Rian Ardianto, and Leo Rolly/Bagas Maulana.

Later, the last two pairs of names mentioned above were decided not to participate. Fajar/Rian decided to resign on October 26, while Leo/Bagas withdrew two days later.

Aryono said that Fajar/Rian considered canceling their appearance in Korea because the Hangzhou Race to Finals points were considered sufficient.

Fajar/Rian is currently in fourth place with 75,660 points in week 43 or as of October 22. They rose two places from week 42 to be in sixth place.

“Yes, Fajar/Rian had registered for Korea but it was canceled because they had enough points to go to the World Tour Finals, so they focused on the Kumamoto Japan Masters and China Masters Super 750,” said Aryono to detikSport via short message.

“Meanwhile, Bagas/Leo was canceled because after returning from the match in Europe, Bagas was sick with a fever so he was canceled because he was not prepared enough to compete in Korea,” he said.
