Will things turn out well for Majeed Ashimeru at RSC Anderlecht? The midfielder was once again out of action with an injury that will keep him out for a while. Trainer David Hubert spoke about the midfielder’s injury during his press chat after the match.
Ashimeru had to leave the field after 38 minutes. He suffered a quadriceps tear. So Hubert had bad news to report about the midfielder, who sat on the bench afterwards, clearly shaken.
Ashimeru out of action again
“He felt something in his quadriceps. Perhaps it is a tear. It is a shame, because he is good in training and gives us dynamism. He is a profile that we miss in our selection,” the trainer said. The Last Hour.
Ashimeru continues to kick ass on the spot. With the exception of a short period under Vincent Kompany, he was by no means convincing at Anderlecht. The midfielder is primarily a serving player who plays well when the team turns, but not a midfielder who will determine the game.
Not much fun at Anderlecht
If fit, a useful extra pawn in width. Ashimeru was sent to RB Salzburg because they doubted his physical capabilities. That’s true for the time being, because Ashimeru is often injured and when he plays, he can rarely handle 90 minutes. He was allowed to leave Anderlecht in April, because Jesper Fredberg hoped to bring in an extra dynamic midfielder.
When it turned out that there was no extensive budget, he extended the player’s contract in the hope that he would still make his breakthrough. For the time being, it is not a happy season for Ashimeru in Brussels. Yet another thing in the meantime…
