Bidasoa fell this Sunday in one of those matches marked on the calendar. The Irundarras traveled to Nava de la Asunción with the aim of returning with victory against a team with which they tied for fourth place in the standings. However, the Segovian team was superior and won (37-33).

Despite the defeat, there is always something good to highlight: the debut of Unai Barreto Usabarrena. At 16 years, 6 months and 20 days, he becomes the youngest player in the League currently and one of the earliest debutants to make his appearance in the highest national handball competition.

As if his promising future were not good enough news for CD Bidasoa fans, during the minutes that Barreto was on the field he scored two goals and maintained a 100% shooting accuracy statistic.

Thus, Unai Barreto writes his name in the book of youngest debutants in the Asobal League. A list headed by Alberto Montiel, head of Blasgon and Bodegas Ceres Villa de Aranda, who debuted in September 2020 at a whopping 15 years and 299 days. The podium is made up of Sergio López, from the then Enchanted City of Cuenca, making his debut at 15 years, 11 months and 15 days, and Francisco Javier Castro, from FC Barcelona (16 years and 22 days).
