FC Bayern Munich missed a win against Eintracht Frankfurt

Pernille Harder (34th) scored for Munich in front of sports director Max Eberl. Nicole Anyomi (68th) countered in the second round for the Frankfurt women, who would have taken first place with their own success. For Bayern, who are worried about national team captain Giulia Gwinn after an injury-related substitution, Georgia Stanway (4th) also missed an early hand penalty.

In foggy Munich, the hosts set the tone, after a cross from Gwinn, Frankfurt’s Sara Doorsoun blocked the ball with her arm. Stanway was initially denied by Eintracht goalkeeper Stina Johannes before she shot the follow-up shot over the goal from point-blank range.

But Munich didn’t let this bother them, they created several chances – and were rewarded. After a corner from Klara Bühl, Harder scored the deserved 1-0 half-time lead with his head.

At the start of the second half, Laura Freigang (50th) missed a great chance to equalize for Frankfurt. Almost 20 minutes later, Anyomi did better, after a great solo effort she scored the somewhat surprising 1-1. As a result, it remained a hard-fought game in which Gwinn accidentally got an arm in the face in a duel with Sophia Kleinherne in the final phase. Bleeding, the 25-year-old had to be replaced.
