Baseball bats, phones stolen by the dozens… armed individuals, including some minors, rob an SFR store in Vaucluse

This Monday, November 4, 2024, several armed individuals broke into a telephone store in Pertuis (Vaucluse). They were finally arrested by the police.

A hectic start to the week. This Monday, when they had just started their working day, the employees of an SFR store had a big scare. Several individuals, armed with baseball bats, entered the business in order to rob it, while threatening those present, reports Actu 17.

Minor robbers

The events took place around 9:30 a.m. in an SFR store in the Saint-Martin business zone, located on route d’Aix in Pertuis. Seeing robbers inside, it was passers-by who alerted the police. The robbers did not leave empty-handed since they took with them nearly fifty cell phones, indicates France Blue.

However, the amount of the loot is not known. The criminals fled in two vehicles, one of which was reported stolen, but their escape was only short-lived, since the police arrested them in the morning, in two stages.

The robbers come from the Lyon region. If some are aged around twenty, some would be minors, assures France Bleu, between 16 and 17 years old. They were all taken into custody.

The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie research brigade.
