Orvieto, repeatedly escapes from house arrest: 21-year-old ends up in prison

The Carabinieri of the Orvieto station arrested a 21-year-old of Ghanaian origins in execution of an order from the Court of Appeal of the Court of Perugia which ordered the worsening of the precautionary measure in place.

The young man, subjected to house arrest with an electronic bracelet for almost 6 months, after his arrest in November 2023 for a stalking incident, in recent days had been the protagonist of repeated violations of the precautionary measure: in two circumstances the young man had even presented himself at the barracks to ask the soldiers to be freed from that unbearable apparatus that limited his freedom.

For him, however, the charges for tax evasion were clearly triggered and he was immediately taken back to his home.

At the same time, the military reported the multiple violations committed by the 21-year-old to the Perugia AG, who issued the relevant detention order. During the execution phase, the young man also resisted the operating staff, biting the hand of one of the soldiers and causing him slight injuries: for this reason he was also referred for resistance to a Public Official and personal injury, before being transferred to the Terni prison.
