Stefan Grüble has been leading the badminton division for many years. In recent years, this has been able to attract numerous new young members thanks to Ulrike Schwarz’s successful youth work, which also includes cooperation with schools. They also regularly achieve great sporting successes and are among the best young players in Baden-Württemberg. However, coach Schwarz achieved the greatest success herself last year: thanks to strong performances, she ultimately qualified for the European Badminton Championships in her age group.
Chief cashier Bernd Wibiral was able to present stable finances and a significant increase in income. The rentals of the sports center would mean black numbers, Wibiral thanked the new manager Thomas Koch, and the now almost 1,300 SVS members as well as strong sponsorship also contribute to a good overall result.
In the chairman’s final contribution – he had previously reported on Luis Wibiral’s Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) as well as the cooperation with the Spaichingen schools and the Sonnenschein kindergarten on behalf of the unable managing director Kerstin Scheffler – Tobias Schumacher discussed the condition of the sports facilities . He praised the great commitment of the city and the caretakers and at the same time emphasized the need for an additional hall and the renovation of the artificial turf. There are now 550 children and young people being looked after at the SVS, an absolute record. TV, as the largest club in the region, also needs additional capacity. Mayor Hugger assured that both issues were a priority for the city. He thanked the SVS for its work for the city of Spaichingen and its citizens. He would be happy to continue the constructive and good exchange with the Blue and Whites.
In the second part of the evening – the volunteer festival – there was first a delicious dinner, presented by the Hotel “Engel” and its owner Nico Salewski. The B juniors Amina Rajabi, Maja Innocente, Simona Keller, Clara Häring, Emma Hauser, Carina Pekarik, Hannah Häring and Anaisa Bountra with their coach Alexander Innocente entertained the guests throughout the evening. Jule Grimm and Emily Meissner were responsible for the photos (further report to follow).
