The Czech national team has completed its first training session in the new year. Coach Radim Rulík’s wards met in Karlovy Vary in the early evening, where they started preparing for the Finnish Karjala Cup.

The representatives did not compete in the KV Arena, but in the adjacent training hall, where it was very cold. “I got dressed so I didn’t even feel the cold. But the quality of the ice… I don’t know, we somehow managed it. The training was short but brisk. I took into account the boys from the extra league who played the match yesterday,” reports the 59-year-old coach.

Rulík would welcome it if the extra league was not played on Sunday before the match

The extra-league derby with Litvínov was still being played on the main pitch on Sunday, and the advertisements were painted over on Monday. “Now maybe everyone will tear me apart for this, but I would welcome it if before the repre break the games were played on Thursday and Saturday, so that it was enough to repaint the ice and the boys had a snort on Sunday. But maybe it’s not possible, from the point of view of the handyman, it would be beneficial in any case.”

According to him, the second option would be to play on Friday and Saturday. “I have already proposed back to back games that we play on the Euro Hockey Tour or the World Cup and are missing in the Extra League. But it is said that it is not possible because of the sponsors, which I respect,” adds Radim Rulík.

“The training was short, but brisk. I took into account the boys from the extra league who played the match on Sunday.”

Compared to the originally announced nomination, he had to make four changes. He’s come before

David Tomasek

attacker, 28 years old

” href=” Tomáška, who is playing in Sweden. “He has a great form, he would clearly be the first center, but unfortunately an injury came,” regrets Rulíka, who instead pointed to

Petr Kodytek

attacker, 26 years old

” href=” Codytka.

The goalkeeper also had to apologize at the last moment

Josef Korenář

goalkeeper, 26 years old

” href=” Spicer with attackers

Philip Zadina

attacker, 24 years old

” href=” Zadinou a <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" class="hasqtip" data-content="

Jiří Smejkal

attacker, 27 years old

” href=” With a smile. “We were looking for similar types of players, unfortunately some others also had health complications,” he regrets.

Rulík wanted to call up Abdul and M. Stránský, but both are not fit

One of them was also the extraleague scoring leader

Henry Abdul

attacker, 28 years old

” href=” Abdul from Vítkovice. “He wasn’t in the first nomination, but now he would be in it. Unfortunately, he went for an x-ray with his hand and I’ve already seen a photo of him wearing a brace. Anyway, if he does well, I’m ready to give him a chance.”

The head of the Czech shifter addressed i

Matej Stránský

attacker, 31 years old

” href=” Stránsky. “He would very much like to come, but he has had something with the puller for a long time and needs to rest, which I respected, because we want 100% healthy players,” he says of the Davos striker.

And so he pointed to Olomouc

Michal Kunc

attacker, 24 years old

” href=” Rabbit. “We have been following him for a long time. He is quite busy in the club, he plays both power plays and weakening. He also fits us in the fact that he is a young player.” Kunec added a goalkeeper to the roster

Jakub Malek

goalkeeper, 22 years old

” href=” Málek and another forward

Radan Lenc

attacker, 33 years old

” href=” Lenc.

It was he who was missing at the first training session, so the junior from Karlovy Vary trained with the old man

David Varvarovsky

attacker, 20 years old

” href=” Varvarovsky. “Radan’s flight from Sweden was delayed, so we reached for replacements so that we had a complete five-five and no one had to take turns, because it is, after all, training after the extra-league round,” explains Rulík.

“Radan Lence’s flight from Sweden was delayed, so we reached for a replacement so that we had a full five-five and no one had to take turns.”

He is not clear about the goalkeepers yet. But nothing changes about the fact that Brno

Michal Postava

goalkeeper, 22 years old

” href=” The character will only train with the team until Friday. He will fly to Finland

Jakub Malek

goalkeeper, 22 years old

” href=” Málek with the debutant

Ondřej Kacetl

goalkeeper, 34 years old

” href=” Kacetlem. “We will discuss their deployment with Ondra Pavelec,” he concludes.
