Harley Quinn in Naples: baseball bats and complaints
Two young people, dressed as Harley Quinn, the famous anti-heroine of the DC Comics universe, were stopped by the carabinieri of the Centro di Napoli company. The two girls, armed with baseball bats identical to those used by the character, were reported for illegal possession of a weapon. The weapons were seized, one for each Harley. This story takes place during a night of checks in Naples, which saw intense activity by the police.
Controls in Naples: weapons, resistance to a public official and alcohol to minors
During the controls of the territory, carried out with the collaboration of the Campania Regiment, the carabinieri arrested a 20-year-old Neapolitan for resisting a public official. The young man, without a license and under the influence of narcotics, attempted to evade a road check, hitting a soldier with his scooter and trying to escape. After losing control of the vehicle, he was blocked and is now under house arrest, awaiting trial.
In addition to the weapons cases, other people were cited for various violations. A 37-year-old woman, owner of a bar, was reported for selling alcohol to a minor. Four Neapolitans, already sanctioned for similar violations and subjected to DACUR (Urban Daspo), were caught carrying out illegal parking activities. Two citizens of Morocco, found to be irregular on the national territory, and a fifty-one year old Neapolitan, responsible for the escape, have been reported.
Sanitation violations and narcotic substances
During the operations, a Chinese restaurant was sanctioned for hygienic-sanitary violations with a fine of 4,500 euros, the seizure of 30 kilos of untraceable food and the suspension of the activity. Three people were reported to the Prefecture for possession of narcotic substances.
In addition to the complaints, the police issued 13 violations of the Highway Code, five of which for failure to wear a helmet, with the administrative detention of five vehicles.
A picture of illegality and disorder
The night of checks in Naples highlighted a picture of illegality and disorder, with a series of incidents that highlight the need for constant action by the police to combat phenomena such as the illegal carrying of weapons, resistance to public official, the sale of alcohol to minors and illicit activities in general. The presence of people dressed as movie or comic book characters with real weapons, such as Harley Quinns with baseball bats, is a worrying sign that highlights the growing tendency to confuse reality with fiction, with potential consequences for public safety.
