Situation no. 1: ŠIBENIK – DINAMO (18th minute); penalty kick/handball situation

After a free kick from the left side near the visiting penalty area, the home player headed the ball. Visiting defender no. 20 looked at his teammate in front of him and protected himself with his hands. Unfortunately, the ball touched his left hand without additional movement of the hand towards the ball and without increasing the girth of the body. Although the hands were away from the body, the referee considered this position to be normal and not a violation. The refereeing commission agrees with this interpretation and supports not awarding a penalty kick.

Situation no. 2: ŠIBENIK – DINAMO (44th minute); penalty kick situation

Visiting player no. 5 controlled the ball in the home penalty area when home defender no. 6 started recklessly at the opponent with a high contact on the leg. The referee was in an excellent position and immediately awarded a penalty kick and cautioned the defender. The refereeing commission fully supports this decision and is satisfied that this decision was awarded by the referee on the field, according to the official website of the Croatian Football Association.
