RSC Anderlecht has had an eventful week. That was washed away with a resounding victory against Kortrijk.
The musical chairs at RSC Anderlecht continued undisturbed last week. Exit Jesper Fredberg at RSC Anderlecht, enter the not so welcome Olivier Renard.
The Purple & White’s 4-0 victory against KV Kortrijk fortunately brought the topic of discussion back to football for many involved this weekend. And that was urgently needed.
“This is the Anderlecht we want to see,” goalkeeper Colin Coosemans tells Sporza. “Playing forward, applying pressure, good counterpress and creating danger. We did not show what you can expect from Anderlecht in Bruges. Today we needed a response and we provided it.”
Kortrijk could not do much against Anderlecht and according to Coosemans that was also Anderlecht’s merit. The goalkeeper was also asked what the team thinks about the arrival of the new sporting boss Olivier Renard.
“We spend as little time on that as possible. Our tasks must be carried out on the field and we try to do that as best as possible. We need to achieve even more performances like today in the coming weeks. We have the qualities to fight any opponent and hope to continue the good trend now.”
