Pelle Larsson Shines Despite Injury: Highlights from His Best Game with the Miami Heat

Pelle Larsson played a big role in his third league game for the Miami Heat.

13 points in 25 minutes played is by far the best so far for the NBA rookie.

– I hope to continue to make good efforts, he says after the dramatic loss against the Sacramento Kings.

In the sixth league game of the season, Pelle Larsson had to play his third game and things are progressing quickly now.

It was an impressive effort where Pelle Larsson shone on the field and received a lot of praise afterwards.

Previously, there have been two points in the opener at home against the Orlando Magic and seven points most recently against the Washington Wizards in Mexico City.

Now, for the second game in a row, Pelle Larsson got minutes in the first half and was replaced in the decisive situations with the starting players.

In total, there were 13 points (fourth best on the team), two rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes played.

“Like a whirlwind”

The local Miami Herald writes: “Pelle Larsson’s twelve first-half points also included a Bam Adebayo dunk, annoying defense on De’Aaron Fox, three three-pointers, two rebounds, a steal and a whirlwind around the court. The Miami Heat outscored the Sacramento Kings by 13 points in his twelve first half minutes.”

– This is a new level, but I’m starting to get into it. I want to work hard at both ends of the field. I fell asleep in defense last time, but I got a second chance and made adjustments to my game, says Pelle Larsson surrounded by the media in the dressing room after the match.

In the 118–98 win against the Washington Wizards, he made four of five free throws in the first half, now he made four of five free throws in the first half but missed his only attempt in the second half.

“The toughness we like”

In the fourth quarter, Pelle Larsson received medical attention after a bloody blow from the shoulder of De’Aaron Fox.

The Swede was able to play on, nailed a three-pointer to make it 96-96 and was tight on the defensive end when De’Aaron Fox missed a shot in the closing seconds.

Decided in the last shot

The Sacramento Kings won the game in Florida with 113-112 after Domantas Saboni settled with a shot in the last second when Pelle Larsson was on the court.

Pelle Larsson is the third Swede to play in the NBA all-time after Jonas Jerebko and Jeffery Taylor.
