Following the election process, Judo Québec is proud to announce the appointment of new members of its Committee of Excellence. This committee, made up of representatives of coaches and athletes, has the mandate to contribute its expertise to the development and supervision program for the full sporting and personal potential of judokas.
For the mandate of coaches, Mr. Roger Tremblay, technical director of Club Judokas Jonquière, continues his involvement with a new two-year mandate. With his experience, Mr. Tremblay will continue to bring his expertise to the committee.
On the athlete side, we welcome two new representatives for this year: Violette Louet and François Gauthier-Drapeau were elected to represent female and male athletes respectively. They are beginning their first term on the committee and will work alongside our two provincial coaches, Sergio Pessoa and Fati Merah, as well as David Beaudin and Jessika Therrien.
We would like to express our gratitude to Mina Coulombe and Julien Frascadore, who have been the athlete representatives on the committee until now. We would like to thank them and highlight their dedication and valuable contribution to serving the community.
Mina, recently retired from her athletic career, is now focusing on her profession as a lawyer, while Julien has just taken on a new role as an athlete representative on the Judo Canada Board of Directors.
We sincerely wish them the best in their new endeavors and are grateful for their remarkable contribution.
