Neemias Queta wrote, in the early hours of this Tuesday, another golden chapter in the history of Brazilian basketball. The 25-year-old center started for the first time in the NBA, actively participating in the Boston Celtics’ victory against the Atlanta Hawks (123 to 93).
Queta had a total of 10 points and seven rebounds in the 23 minutes he was on the court, in what was the first time he was named Joe Mazzulla to the Boston team’s starting lineup.
In the end, the Celtics coach praised the Portuguese player, highlighting the way he has established himself.
“He has grown as a player. The bar is very high, but we can see what he is capable of doing when he is at his best. He could be an asset for us this season”, said Joe Mazzulla, at a press conference.
“He’s got a great ceiling and so the standard is very high … you see what he’s capable of when he’s at his best and he could be a real asset for us,”
