Seven Venezuelans are among the finalists for the Silver Bat in the MLB
Caracas.- This Monday, Major League Baseball (MLB) announced the list of finalists from the two leagues for the Silver Bat for the 2024 season, in which seven Venezuelans stand out.

On the American League side, infielders José Altuve (Astros) and Gleyber Torres (Yankees), outfielder Anthony Santander (Orioles) and catcher Salvador Pérez (Royals) are the Venezuelan representatives to win the distinction that recognizes the best player with the most outstanding offensive production of the year for each position.

Likewise, in the National the names of patrolman Jackson Chourio and catcher William Contreras, of the Milwaukee Brewers, as well as that of the circuit’s batting champion, Luis Arráez, of the San Diego Padres, appear.

Latinos like Juan Soto, José Ramírez, Carlos Santana and Yordan Álvarez appear on the final list of the Americana and others like Manny Machado, Teoscar Hernández and Marcell Ozuna appear on the old circuit.

The recently crowned champion, the Los Angeles Dodgers (5), and the New York Yankees (4) are the teams with the most representatives among the finalists.

According to MLB itself, the winners will be announced next Tuesday, November 12.
